We are able to give away a variety of healthy food including fruits and vegetables! 16,375 pounds of food were given out to 200 families last week!

We wouldn’t be where we are today without the foundation of faith. Jesus brings true life, change, and freedom. It’s because of His sacrifice, love and service that we get to share with others through every outreach. 🙌

“After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.”There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men. A community effort! 😁

We are still reflecting the last 8 years and overwhelmed by the incredible impact we’ve made together! We have accomplished a lot through monthly outreaches, food pantries, and community events like Holiday giveaways, back to school nights, dinners, Kidz Jam, block parties and home makeovers. We have had the privialge to host, serve, love, uplift and donate our community in big ways.

This could not be done withouth our generous partners and givers that see a need and fill it. The Kansas City Dream Center makes a difference because of YOU!

Who stocks the shelves?
- Volunteers stock and organize our shelves every week!

Where do we get our food?
- Harvesters and other partners and donors who want to contribute!

Can I get food for my family?
-Yes! Just go online to make an appointment. Remember to cancel ahead if needed to make room for another family.

Where do the extras go?
- We typically don`t have any! We get so many families and individuals that come through for free food and some weeks, we may run out.

M.E. Pearson Elementary School 🤝 KC Dream Center

We celebrated and partnered with @hyvee and @harvesters for the grand opening M.E. Pearson Elementary School’s Food Pantry. This will create a more reliable and sustainable source of nutritious food. About 1 in 4 children in Wyandotte County need food assistance according to Harvesters, and the revitalized pantry is expected to serve approximately 150 families each month!

This mission is to make sure kids can learn without being hungry, and their families can have ready access to nutritious food, no matter their life circumstances. We are thankful to play a part in the community to #MakeADifference
